Law Enforcement Request Guidelines
Last updated: March 6, 2026
1. Overview
SweepFeed LLC ("SweepFeed") respects the privacy of our users and will only disclose user information to law enforcement agencies when required by valid legal process. These guidelines describe the types of data SweepFeed may have, the legal process required, and how to submit requests.
2. Types of Information Available
SweepFeed may possess the following categories of user information, depending on account type and usage:
- Account Information: Name, email address, profile photo, account creation date, subscription tier, and authentication provider (Google, Apple, or email)
- Usage Data: Sweepstakes viewed, entries logged, search queries, session timestamps, and device information
- Transaction Records: Subscription purchase history, DustBunnies balance and transaction log (no direct payment card numbers — processed by Stripe)
- Connection Logs: IP addresses, access timestamps, and user agent information (retained for 90 days)
- Communications: Support messages sent via in-app contact forms
SweepFeed does not store passwords (authentication is passwordless), full payment card numbers, or social security numbers.
3. Legal Process Required
3.1 Subpoena
A valid subpoena issued in connection with an official criminal or civil investigation is required for disclosure of basic account information (name, email, account creation date, subscription tier, last login IP and timestamp).
3.2 Court Order
A court order issued under 18 U.S.C. § 2703(d) or equivalent state authority is required for disclosure of usage data, transaction records, and connection logs beyond basic account information.
3.3 Search Warrant
A valid search warrant issued by a court of competent jurisdiction, based on probable cause, is required for disclosure of stored communications content (e.g., support messages).
3.4 Emergency Requests
SweepFeed may voluntarily disclose user information to law enforcement without legal process when we have a good faith belief that an emergency involving imminent danger of death or serious physical injury requires immediate disclosure. Emergency requests must include:
- A description of the emergency
- The specific information sought and how it relates to the emergency
- The identity and authority of the requesting official
4. How to Submit Requests
All law enforcement requests must be submitted in writing and should include:
- The requesting agency's name and badge/ID number of the agent
- A valid return email address on an official government domain
- A description of the information sought
- The applicable legal process (subpoena, court order, or warrant)
- The specific user account(s) identified by email address or SweepFeed user ID
Submit requests to: support@sweepfeed.com
For emergency requests only, contact: support@sweepfeed.com with the subject line "EMERGENCY DISCLOSURE REQUEST."
5. User Notification
SweepFeed's policy is to notify users of law enforcement requests for their data before disclosure, unless:
- Notification is prohibited by law (e.g., a court order under 18 U.S.C. § 2705(b))
- We believe notification would create a risk of injury, death, or destruction of evidence
- The request relates to child exploitation or national security
Where notification is initially prohibited, SweepFeed will notify the user when the restriction expires or is lifted.
6. Preservation Requests
Law enforcement may request that SweepFeed preserve specific user data pending issuance of formal legal process, in accordance with 18 U.S.C. § 2703(f). Preservation requests must be submitted in writing and will be honored for 90 days, renewable upon request. Preserved data will only be disclosed upon receipt of valid legal process.
7. International Requests
SweepFeed is a U.S. company. International law enforcement requests must comply with applicable international treaties, mutual legal assistance agreements (MLATs), or letters rogatory. Requests should be directed through the U.S. Department of Justice's Office of International Affairs or submitted via established treaty mechanisms.
8. Transparency
SweepFeed is committed to transparency regarding law enforcement requests. We may publish aggregate statistics about the number and type of requests received, to the extent permitted by law. For privacy inquiries, see our Privacy Policy.
